Professor Dr. Iván Jiménez-Aybar (Zaragoza, Spain, 1971).

 

Graduated in Laws by the University of Zaragoza (Spain). After collaborating several years in a company of lawyers, he joined for four years the Departamento de Derecho Público of this University as a reasearcher where he finished his PhD Degree.

 

Right now, he is Investigator of the " Instituto de Ciencias para la Familia”(Institute of Sciences for the Family) (ICF), where he belongs to the Claustro de Profesores of the " Master Universitario en Matrimonio y Familia" (Master University in Marriage and Family) (Area of Laws and Family Policy), of the University of Navarre. On the other hand, he is member of the permanent investigation body of the ICF in the matter of Family Policy, that advised the Government of Navarre in the elaboration its Plan of Support to the Family of Navarre, approved the 7th of May of 2001.

 

His investigating and educational activity is centered in the scopes of the Right of Family (protection of minors, fundamentally), Human Rights (with special reference the right of religious freedom) and Family Policy.

  • Pasado, Presente y Futuro de la Protección de los menores en Aragón [Zaragoza 1998. This work has received one Prize for research by the Cátedra “Lacruz Berdejo”, of Universidad de Zaragoza].

 

  • El acogimiento familiar: aspectos jurídicos y sociales (coauthor, with Neus Caparrós Civera) [Serie “Documentos del Instituto de Ciencias para la Familia”; Madrid 2001].

 

At the present moment, he is preparing the publication (predicted throughout the first semester of 2004) of the following works: The question of the religious symbols in the school: a new challenge for lay Europe; and, also, Family Policy and third age (coauthor, with Neus Caparrós Civera).

 

Also, he has published, always within these fields, diverse articles as much in collective books as in scientific magazines. Among them:

In his intervention in the II European Congress of Large Families, which predicted title is: "Family Policy: a concept to define”, Professor Iván Jiménez-Aybar will expose some of the conclusions already obtained within the framework of the Project of Reaearch “La política familiar: concepto, principios y ámbitos” (sponsored by the University of Navarre), in which he is working at the moment.
